little acorn studio

Behind the cover page

I've decided to post a new cover page/splash screen every season. This season it seems appropriate to post a photograph my of acorn collection. I wanted to show the range of colors, sizes and textures. I created the acorn logo image  back in 2010, when I was doing a blog about nature and how it inspires me (fiftytwoflowers.blogspot.com). I think it was then that I first started to notice how cool acorns are and how they are symbolic as well. So welcome to Fall and welcome to little acorn studio! (alternate shot below)

Walls should be a place where we collect things that remind us of loved ones and times we want to remember. Here's a peek at some things I have up in my living room. There is a painting from my brother Paul, collages from my dear friend Clare Goddard, an old letter sent to my dad from a friend in India, an abacus from my trip to Thailand and my daughter's first collage all the way to the right.
